The Canary Islands tend to get good year round sunshine due to their southern location. The climate in La Gomera is has a significant north south divide with the northern side being greener and tending to get more rain while the southern side tends to get more sunshine with areas like Playa Santiago and Val Gran Rey getting up to 360 days of sunshine per year.
The higher central part of the island gets quite a bit of rain and low cloud throughout the year making it a plesant antidote to the higher temperatures on the South near the coast in particular.
There are occasional storms occasionally which bring destructive winds and high rainfall totals to the island. Rainfall is a paricular problem because of the steep nature of the islands geography so rockfalls and minor landslides can be an issue in times of significant rainfall.
Because it gets so much rainfall in the higher central region water is unusually plentiful for an island with such warm daytime temperatures. That and it's proximity to the sea make La Gomera a pleasant year round destination since it rarely gets uncomforably warm for long periods.
